We went at the end of a busy lunch time and the service was very slow and rather casual.. We noticed that the usual manager was not there and he always seems to keep thing going smoothly by working hard himself. He was missed.

This Cote is excellent. We always enjoy it. The food was good and freshly cooked. The waiter (Italian who looked after us) was friendly, helpful, professional, efficient and very personable. A really lovely experience once again.

Excellent food and service, some of the best I've had at Côte, however the acoustics and the fact that we were surrounded by families and screaming children really had an effect I'm afraid. There should have been more of an effort to seat these louder groups away from quiet dining couples who were looking for a celebratory night out!

Very good friendly service. But the steak frites was disappointing. Meat chewy and lacking in flavour. My side of green beans was also disappointing because unseasoned. Not enough attention to detail!

The usual high quality menu and value fir money. Tables in the front section are the best. The rear section is slightly , only slightly claustrophobic.

Lovely afternoon with good food and service. But the ladies loos have to be sorted out especially the lighting which is totally inadequate. This pm there were also "wonky" seats and wet floor. But lighting is the main issue. And ok to sit outside but inside still problems with a/c and noise

The restaurant was quiet but a shift change was clearly happening as people appeared from the kitchen obviously on their way home and there was much chatting among the staff so it was difficult to attract their attention. The waiter who took our order had trouble with the tablet he was using which didn't inspire confidence. The veggie menu looked good, more extensive than usual in a French restaurant. A manager took the waiting staff off for a briefing session outside so when the busboy arrived with our food he had to wait until someone appeared to serve it. My onion soup contained a lot of inedible onion skin and the watercress garnish on my husband's plate had seen better days. When our first course plates were eventually cleared we complained. The waitress was charming and we could see her discussing this with a manager. when we came to pay she explained that we had not been charged for the first courses which was good but I would have expected the manager to offer an apology. We ate recently at Cote in St Martins Lane and were very impressed with the food and the service at a particularly busy time, so this was a big disappointment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Cote (royal festival hall branch). Food was great, service was good, only sad thing is that we weren't able to have dessert due to our own time restrictions!!

The pre theatre menu is amazing value for money, always great options to choose from! Food was tasty, very prompt service and lovely restaurant. I dine at cote a lot and would only wish the desert menu on the pre theatre set menu was changed more often!

Great location and lovely food but make sure you allow yourself plenty of time if you are having a pre-theatre meal as the restaurant is very busy early evening. Very glad we booked our table.

We were a party of 5 who meet regularly, called The Bubble Club. We always drink champagne. We ordered a second bottle of Taittinger at 7pm only to be told that there were no further cold bottles. We accepted a different brand after being promised that 2 bottles of Taittinger would be put on ice. When we later asked for the bottles we were told they had run out of Taittinger so the waitress had lied about the supply. If we'd known this we would not have ordered food. Our chips were cold and had to be replaced. Likewise with the "hot" chocolate fondant that was cold. The food was not up to the usual Cote standard (we are all fans of the brand). Despite not being charged for one bottle of champagne, we had a disappointing evening which was not value for money (at almost £300).
