Great menu choices lovely service with a warm welcome and efficient delivery
The food was great and the staff was very hospitable. I will be going back again.
Good service and atmosphere, no problem changing number I'd booked for. Offered set menus along with regular.
Lovely to have a gluten free menu, and not worry about what you are eating!
Not like a restaurant chain at all. Absolutely superb service.
The table we were sat at didn’t have any knives and no-one brought any over, even after our starters were brought out. Our mains were brought out before we had finished our starters. One of the starters was wrong as we ordered the goats cheese flatbread, but was given the roasted vegetable flatbread. The food was flavourless. Two managers kept going over and lowering and raising the light level just as your eyes got adjusted to the new level.
Lovely meal, nice atmosphere, good service, pre theatre meal, set the evening up perfectly. Thoroughly recommend blood orange cocktail 🍹
Enjoyable meal but restaurant very busy but was looked after
Disappointed. I chose Cote Brasserie to have a nice catch up lunch with my girlfriend. I often choose to eat at Cote Brasserie but I have never been to this particular restaurant. I appreciate it was a Saturday but the tables were so squashed together that you could not really have a conversation because you were so close to the couple next to you and the noise level was incredible. The staff tried their best but were so busy they could not be attentive.
Cote is always reliable for its food. This is a busy venue and service was a bit slow due to a power issue
Great experience! Our server was very nice and helpful. Delicious!
Excellent choice and service at the Festival Hall. So much so we have booked for when we visit Chester
The service was fine for a busy Saturday lunchtime visit but the food was underwhelming in quality.
This branch of the Cote Brasseries is very convenient for all of the concert halls, theatres etc. on the South Bank. Attentive service and a pleasing selection on the menu.
Friendly and reliable service, good food, the only negative is the very high noise level, the price I suppose of the popularity of Côte. It is worse in the evening. But I will still go back!
I get that the dinner, pre concert, was rushed. But basic things, like having salt and pepper on each, table were omitted. One of the items on the menu was vanilla icecream with chocolate sauce, but at 7pm the vanilla ice cream had run out. These things suggest to me a restaurant which is badly managed
Excellent, friendly service and good food, served hot, even though the restaurant was packed. Menu nicely varied, but a little short on vegetarian options. Venue was attractive (Royal Festival Hall) and clean.
The set menu was very good value for money and the service was very friendly.
As always great service, food, value for money. However, it was extremely noisy , which ends up making the experience unpleasant. The noise level is already so high, please do not make it worse by adding piped music. The restaurant very kindly turned it down, which helped a little. Thank you.
last night you were so busy the quality of the food was affected. We both ordered the Sea Bass, I think it had been sitting on the hot plate for some time because by the time it got to us it was so dried out it really was inedible. The staff were fantastic at taking it away and doing a fresh order, but the order took a really long time to get to us. I did appreciate the the free dessert by way of compensation though.
We had a great evening . Our food was delicious and very reasonably priced and all the staff were friendly and delightful and created a warm atmosphere . Thank you
Fabulous meal and wonderful staff. A most enjoyable evening. My friends over from Geneva were most impressed Thank you
Excellent service, excellent food and a nice location before the theatre 👍
It was a disaster, I’m afraid. When our food arrived, it was tepid to cold. We sent it back; it came back slightly warmer, but still tepid. My friend sent it back and asked for granola instead. I filled up on (white) toast (you’d run out of whole meal).Something was going on in the kitchen. People were waiting too long for their food and were walking out. Your manager had the grace not to charge us.
Mine and my partners favourite place to eat what a duck dish they serve. Brilliant
We had a super meal here at Cote Festival Hall and were very impressed by the service too. A lovely, cosy ambience whilst Storm Dennis was whipping up outside! Thank you to all the staff, a real pleasure
Too crowded but good food. The tables are too close together to have a private conversation
An enjoyable visit as usual. Always a pleasure to eat there
service very good - I had pork belly but although it was very good half or more of it was fat - ie very little meat. So a bit disappointing. Had the same 4 days ago in same restaurant and it was much much better in that it had so much more meat.
Friendly and efficient service during very busy pre theatre period. Good food and wine.
It was extremely crowded but the service was good. One of us found a small snail in her starter - it was immediately replaced, of course, and an adjustment was made on our bill although we hadn't specifically asked for it.
Dinner with friends before a concert. Lovely food, nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and energetic, but under-resourced. Usual slowing up towards the end of the meal, Difficult to attract attention, one dessert was missed but no time to rectify - so slightly tense ending, concern not to miss our concert.
Thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Cote, Festival Hall. Pleasant efficient staff and food quality and portions balanced well with pricing. Would recommend and happily return.
We had to wait 20 minutes for a table after the time that we had booked. Our starter was ready for us but the main course took a further 40 minutes to arrive and we had to rush through it in 5 minutes before a concert. The whole experience was a disgrace.
Excellent dinner and service. We had a complementary Kir Royale and a candle in my creme caramel for my birthday pre-theatre dinner. Many thanks!
Great service by the nice lady who served us all night. Food and drink were great however they could improve on the calamari and the onion soup as it was not great, they were both very salty and didn’t taste fresh. Other than that everything was great and will be returning.
As usual a pleasant experience with agreeable food. Nice to have a Cote next to the RFH.
Would have been a 6 but the tables were too close to each other
Good attentive service, delicious range of food and set menu offered good value
Would have been 5 star but when the food arrived the plates were very hot but the food itself was lukewarm. However the response by staff was first class, the plates taken away quickly and replaced by fresh meals that were perfect. Many apologies offered and we did enjoy the meal.
Great venue for early supper before a concert or a play or the train home. Usual wide ranging menu with changing monthly specials. Excellent service. It’s always busy when we go so best to book.
Excellent service, good food and convenient location. We chose the Prestige menu, great choices, and had a very authentic French Onion soup, and both had very freshly grilled salmon with interesting side veg as a main course. Drinks came quickly, and although Cote was very busy, we did not feel rushed during the meal. Bill came promptly as we wanted as we had an event to go to. Would use Cote again.
Excellent food and fantastic service, couldn't fault anything. Will be returning
Food arrived before cocktail. Had knives and forks dropped over us. Plates trying to be cleared before we’d all finished. Then bill wrong.
My friend and I had a very nice lunch here today. We were able to take advantage of the special offer of a free cocktail (blood oranges, vodka and cointreau). Always a good way to start things! I had the seabass which I have had several times before at other Cote locations already and it never disappoints - delicious. My friend had the fish pie (it has a more grand name which I forget). She also really enjoyed that. The service was efficient and friendly and as an out of town visitor to London, she commended me on my choice of restaurant! It's really easy to get to from Waterloo station as another plus.
Proved a good business meeting venue and at least this time the Moules were not incinerated, as per my first experience at the Basingstoke site, earlier this year!
We were a table of 5. 3 had never eaten in a ‘Cote’ before. They were impressed at the quality and the price. We all have da lovely meal before a lovely concert.
Excellent welcome and service. Superb food and atmosphere very relaxed. Always enjoy Cote!
Very nice good-value family meal in a very comfortable atmosphere.
The food was average. very dry. Slow service. And the toilets yet again at a Cote were dirty. Wet floors etc.
