We are regular visitors to Cote and are usually very happy but sadly on this occasion our experience was disappointing. We had to wait 40 minutes for the first course to arrive by which time we were concerned that we would miss our concert. The staff were very pleasant but there were clearly problems in the kitchen. By the time we had finished the main course there was no time for desert. The waiting staff were extremely sympathetic but the whole experience was disappointing.
Heirloom tomatoes were magnifique! Lovely and great value food very nicely served
Enjoyed food and very pleasant service as group of 4 friends for early Sat pre-theatre meal. However found noise levelst rather noisy to hear at times when became busy.
Great food and wine at reasonable prices with excellent service. Perfect for events at RFH. We had booked in advance so went straight our table,, All very smooth and well managed,
Really lovely experience. The food was delicious, and we were all more than happy with our various choices in each course which we felt were good value for money. The service was wonderful, efficient but very friendly. The ambience was lovely and we could happily hold a conversation without difficulty hearing one another. Would certainly recommend your restaurant.
Very busy restaurant food good, service sporadic. One meal had to be changed as it was too salty. This was delt with and a deduction made from the bill.
Great food and service and location for the Royal Festival Hall. Will definitely return but need to pre book if attending an event as it was extremely busy. Enjoyed the two course set menu which was excellent value for London!
Love Cote!! Favourite restaurant! Always great service and atmosphere !
Good good, good value, and right there for pre-dinner for the Royal Festival Hall.
Unfortunately the main course fish was not hot. The manager was sympathetic and dealt with the problem very satisfactorily. He offered a rebate , with option to return after the theatre for a dessert and coffee at Cote's expense. Unfortunately it was too late to return for this. The calamari were very good.
We were warmly welcomed and the service was attentive and efficient. The food was of an excellent standard and we felt it was very reasonably priced. Cote has become our restaurant of choice: we've tried branches in Fulham, Barbican and Festival hall: happy with all of them. Carry on the good work!
We always enjoy the food at Cote restaurants ( although we wish the pre theatre meal was available on Saturdays!) and yesterday the meal was beautifully presented and reached the usual high standard of quality. There was, however an unexpected and unwelcome “glitch” in that our main meal was served almost immediately after our aperitif. We questioned this and were told that the Chef was not aware that we had ordered olives and warm bread to accompany our delicious free gin and tonics - thank you so much for those.... Apparently an aperitif and chosen accompaniments are not considered to be a “starter “ There seems to be a lack of communication between restaurant staff and the kitchen staff which might be addressed for the future. Having refused to accept the early service of our meal I cannot emphasise enough the courteous, smiling service of the staff involved and the difficulties were resolved without unpleasantness or argument. The Manager/Maitre de - Halo - and his staff were exemplary and I fully expect that ordering/ serving procedures willl be reviewed and adjusted to ensure customer satisfaction.
Excellent food, great service - will definitely back again soon! Thank you for another great dinner!
Good service, predictable menu well presented go ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ok ok
We went for a pre-concert (and birthday) dinner. We sat down at 5.50pm and by 7.10pm had had two of the three courses we had planned for. Our daughter, who declined a starter, and was hoping for dessert, had only one course. Whilst the food was lovely when it came, the service was way too slow for a pre theatre meal. When the bill came we were charged for three two course meals, even though our daughter had only had one course. We had to explain this to the waiter who then managed to reduce the bill. So all in all, rather disappointing.
Great food, good service and reasonably priced as always. Never disappointed at Cote!
Fantastic food. Busy restaurant but we were served in good time prior to concert. Friendly staff. Will go again. Essential to book - had to be turned down on a previous occasion
Very nice meal - better than other London venues I normally use and very considerate waiter. The wine wasn't on the tab and when we pointed this out, he said it wasn't a problem. Considering we ate at 6pm and probably a number of customers were going to a performance, it all went well.
The service and food was amazing. It is in one of the best locations which will definitely be revisited. The only negative for the experience was that until arriving we did not know that it was a set menu only which was a little disappointing.
Excellent food. The crab mayonnaise with sugar dough bread is always my favourite, full of flavour. excellent service.
Had a lovely quick meal here before attending a concert at the Festival Hall. Service was very considerate and exceptionally quick and the food was delicious. We were in and out in 15 minutes and they still made us feel relaxed.
Superb service, excellent food and décor, great value set pre-theatre menu. My gluten-free main course was a little delayed because of the care taken in preparation, and they too it upon themselves to reduced the bill. Our second time dining experience with this chain (the first was at Covent Garden) and once again, I would recommend and will dine with Côte Brasserie again.
Great experience, super-fast service, lovely food, friendly waiter. Couldn't have been bettered
Lovely food and service, the only issue I had , which probably cannot be helped is that the staff walked through the restaurant with bins. These were covered , but I felt it was also inconvenient for the staff
Tasty food. Generous portions. Cloth napkins. Clean cutlery. Faultless service. Happy customer!
We booked to allow loads of time as we had tickets for the theatre. An hour and a half is usually more than sufficient. Sadly, they appeared to completely forget our main course. So much so, that the rather confused-looking waiter brought us the dessert menu while we were still waiting. There was a gap of 45 minutes between starter and main course, which arrived 75 minutes after we had ordered. We were due at the theatre shortly afterwards. The main courses that arrived were not good. My husband's egg florentine looked as though it had been thrown at the plate, only around 3/4 of the portion landing safely. His fries didn't arrive at all until after we had asked where they were and they appeared after he had finished the rest of his meal. My lamb was over-cooked and my 'pea and shallot' salad included dried and wrinkly peas such as my grandmother would cook (not a compliment). I very rarely complain in restaurants, but in this case it was necessary. Happily, the manager(?) took the cost of the main courses off our bill before we had to rush to the theatre. I won't be returning in a hurry. It's a shame, because other branches have been good.
Good service and prompt serving of the courses. Would have preferred it if the main course had not been put on the table while I was still eating the bread and olives. The main course (rump of lamb) was perfectly prepared. However, the chocolate mousse dessert was at best average; there was plenty of it but it was heavy and stodgy. Chocolate mousse should be light and have a creamy consistency.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful and immediately replaced some chips which were rather cold! We were seated in the lower floor, which was rather noisy, but tolerable. It is a good place to go for a reasonably priced meal pre-theatre or concert, as it is right next to the Festival Hall.
Last people in at 2235 and service friendly and efficient
Excellent service and care on arrival. I have a wheelchair and the staff were extremely helpful. Sadly small mistakes were made with our food order and my dish has clearly waited for the other meals to be ready as mine was luke warm. It wasn't worth complaining as the restaurant was by now very busy. I would still use Cote again because this was an unusual occurrence.
I thought the service was exceptionally good. The food was served very quickly and efficiently by a very charming waiter. I would definitely recommend your restaurant to other people.

The service was far too slow and we had to miss our main course. Too many people coming in at the same time. When the RFH has an 11 o' clock start then you can expect a rush of people in the lunch break. You need to make sure you have enough staff available to cope with this sudden and high demand. This particular concert is on each year so be ready for the next one on 5th April 2020 also at lunchtime. We came back at 4 o' clock to finish our meal which wasn't very convenient but we appreciated the free bottle of wine.
Despite being a very busy Saturday I had my order taken soon after I arrived at my pre reserved table. I was served and received my food quickly and efficiently
As usual, a very pleasant experience. We all enjoyed our food very much. The service was friendly and efficient. Although it got very busy the atmosphere was calm.
Very disappointing compared to other Cote restaurants we have visited. We had booked and requested a window table, no recognition of this when we arrived. Service very slow and food below usual standard. Also a very noisy restaurant, no good if you want to converse with a table of friends.
A most enjoyable meal - and well up to Cote's high standards. We were greeted with handshakes; our reserved table was ready; and my wife was so pleased with the gluten-free menu (she is coeliac). Thank you!
Another enjoyable meal at Cote and excellent service as usual. Friends dining with us hadn't been to Cote before and were very impressed with the value for money. Would choose a different main from the April set menu next time as the boeuf en croute wasn't the beef wellington type dish I thought it might be. Looking forward to our next visit at the end of the month.
This was an embarrassing experience. I booked for 5.30 as we were due at a concert starting at 7. One of us was late, 3 were not. We got drinks and the one starter ordered but by 6.40 we were still waiting for food-2 if us had ordered salads! We left, fortunately our offer to Pay was refused. Please tell me why a restaurant serving a large concert venue cannot ensure customers leave having eaten in an hour? This was really poor service made worse because I told our waiter we needed to be in the concert hall by 7! Cote-you must improve your staffing to make sure this never recurs.
Excellent friendly service. Not rushed. Great menu . Tables a bit too close together. Good choice of wine Good value for money. Pleasant atmosphere Will definitely book again
We arrived about 20 mins before our booking but they managed to accommodate us easily, even tho its a super busy restaurant. Food was delicious as always from Cote, staff very friendly and helpful when needing a help with a wine choice. Would go back and would recommend to anyone looking for very reasonably priced french cuisine.
Great food great service! We all had a really good time.
Had a great evening with two friends I hadn't seen for years. Great food; great wine. Friendly service from the team who didn't mind us still being there well after midnight!
Very good service and good food! The sea bass with fennel and the creme caramel especially good. Arrived early and it was no problem - felt very welcome.
Good food, first-class, friendly and efficient service in pleasant surroundings. The Côte formula is well-known and seldom disappoints and this one is excellent.
We were welcomed by Halo our host whom was wonderful throughout our evening. He was so warm and welcoming, checking on our every need throughout the night. Considering how busy the restaurant was the food was exceptional. The pork main that we had was absolutely gorgeous. My date for the night declared she loved Coté & wants to go back. It was a very special night for us. We’ll be back again very soon. Thank you Halo for making it so special for us.
A lovely experience as I was meeting a friend for a overdue catchup, service was brillient, when asked how my meal was I commented that the Pork fat/skin was soft and not crispy, when paying the meal was deducted from the bill! I wasn't even complaining! We sat at a table by the serving/clearing area which was a bit noisey when chatting so wouldn't choose that table again but otherwise food, wine and service was great especially the creme caramel. We will certainly be going again. Also I noticed how lovely the staff were to children and babies on other tables.
A delightful birthday lunch with friends and family. Manager and all staff most attentive. Good food and excellence service. Thankyou
Great quality two course set menu. Very reasonably priced. Friendly staff, fab location
Perfect place for business lunch, good food relaxed atmosphere and very quiet. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again. Cõte was also good value for money
Excellent meal as always. Loved the rhubarb martini! The complimentary bottle of wine made the meal even better value than usual. Staff were attentive and friendly and the food was great. You can't beat Cote, we will be back again soon for sure.
