Cowshed - Liverpool

Great Place tucked away just outside the City Centre. Small menu but in this case a great idea, everything is top rate. our steaks were cooked perfectly and very well priced service is excellant, staff very friendly. Next time we are in Liverpool we will be back.

Beautiful food here, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good steak. There is a limited yet varied menu. Service was wonderful, good joke and kindness to the staff.

Fantastic meal and really well looked after by the waitress Shannon. All steaks are reasonably priced. Overall Excellent value for money. I'd definitely recommend Cowshed.

Fantastic atmosphere and excellent service from the waitress Jazz. Best steak I've had and it's a really reasonable price. I had the rib eye which was delicious followed by a lovely dessert

This is my 2nd time eating here. Steaks are great, and desserts are great, I think they should have more choice for starters though Excellent food and excellent service! Definitely recommend

It was really great, the staff were very friendly and more than helpful in explaining the dishes avaliable. There was a young man who had long dark hair with a beard who was so lovely and a credit to the restaurant. The food was delicious and came really quickly

Absolutely fantastic service from lovely, bubbly staff. The menu is beautiful with steak cooked to perfection! I loved the mushrooms and the sweet potato mash as sides. Would highly recommend the garlic sauce too. Fairly priced, with a nice menu for drinks/cocktails too. Also, the music is amazing. The playlist is something that can't be knocked. Love this place! Officially my new favourite place to eat.

Lovely people running and waiting on, nice atmosphere. Four of us went so we ordered two specials (sirloin steak with mashed potatoes, a nice sauce and spring roll), a rump steak with eggs & waffles plus garlic mushrooms and I had the flat iron steak with chips and mushrooms. All of the meals were cooked to perfection except for the flat iron. I had never had this cut before and wanted to try it as it was advertised as "tender and flavoursome". Unfortunately the steak was tough and, probably due to this, the flavour didn't come through at all. Took the meat home and is now shared between our two dogs. Pity really. Please note - this will not stop us going again and we did not pay for the flat iron (didn't need to ask just came off the bill with apologies). I'm sure that had I mentioned the tough steak earlier it would have been replaced, my own fault.

Best meal in a long time! Service and food was excellent! Very quick serviced too! Highly recommend the Halloumi starter along with the rump! The mushrooms were perfect too!!!

Amazing food! We have wanted to come here for a long time and it lived up to our expectations! Lovely friendly staff who help in every way and will chat about food or things in general, great setting and atmosphere.

We were visiting Liverpool for a couple of days for my Husbands birthday I found the Cow Shed on line and did a chance booking. It was very welcoming and the food was delicious 5 star.

Great food and drink list and friendly and attentive staff - they also accommodated our 3 year old nicely with extra eggs and waffles. Would come back

Absolutely brilliant. Food was delicious and service excellent. Very relaxed atmosphere. We were a party of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenage boys) and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Would have no hesitation in recommending.

Beautifully cooked steak. Lovely cosy atmosphere (recommend the booth seating). Excellent choice of wines. Cheeseboard was expensive for what you got. All in all I'd highly recommend.

Excellent service, short but well executed menu. This place obviously cares about its craft. The cuts of meat are well sourced and cooked perfectly each time. Perhaps some gaps to be filled on the drinks menu (maybe a Pinot Noir in the red wines?). Enjoyable and satisfying.

Great food! Shared the 'Greedy Pigs' 3 steak option and it was delicious, all steaks cooked perfectly and well seasoned, good staff, both efficient and easy to chat to. I will definitely be going back soon!

A fantastic experience. The restaurant is quirky but delightful (please note if you can't do stairs this isn't the place for you). The service was attentive, boardering on pushy with regard to ordering. Nevertheless the food was excellent both from the menu and the special.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the seating is cosy and the rooms have a warm atmosphere. The food is delocious and very will priced (same for the drinks). I would prefer something more of a dress code, as im not a fan of trainers in restaurants.

Service was top notch in particular recommended a lovely gin called little bird. We had the steak sharer which was great value which included 3 cuts of steak and 2 sides

Cannot really put into words just how nice this place is, lovely settings and really nice, pleasant and courteous staff. The food was simply outstanding, every course we had from starters to main course and sides was just out of this world and can honestly say this is the best steak place I've ever been to. If you've not been here you must give it a try and you will not be disappointed.

We had a lovely time at the Cowshed. The place is cool and cosy and the food was absolutely delicious! The service was great and their prices are very reasonable. If you are in Liverpool you must pay them a visit!

our table was booked for 5.30 we arrived early at 4.50 thinking we may have to wait but this was not a problem as we were seated straight away .food was really nice and staff very helpful with the best way to have your steak cooked.i would fully recommend it to anyone

We were welcomed warmly and promptly shown to our table which is was a quaint room, no more than 5 tables. Our water was extremely friendly but not over the top. The food was very pleasant and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend if you want steak and will frequent again.
