Cowshed - Liverpool

Amazing Food and great service, recommendation of the flat iron was spot on. Tried it by chance for my boyfriends birthday and we will definitely be back!

The Cowshed is a small, intimate restaurant with excellent service and the food was really good. The menu is small but very well executed. Highly recommended!

Excellent steaks, cooked perfectly. Excellent 'specials'-we tried all 3! Good selection of wines. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Killer martini espresso 😀 We will be back. Ps Also very reasonably priced

Not bad food quite salty, no salt on tables just lashed on while cooking, would be better to let customers salt own food, but overall nice night just the little things letting this place down.

The welcome and the service was very good the food was ok It's recommended to have your steak served medium rare which is fine if it's quality cuts of fresh meat but mine had the feel like it had been defrosted so was very chewy Probably would not return

Fillet steak ordered medium rare and arrived burnt and well done. Asked and was told that was "nearly rare" and was cooked as I'd ordered. Avoid unless you like steak incinerated and cooked by a nuclear bomb!

Lovely food and fantastic staff who were knowledgeable​ and friendly. We will certainly be returning!! The steak was expertly stationed and cooked and the sides were phenomenal - thanks to all the staff.

Wonderful setting, great staff and outstanding food. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the mac and cheese croquettes were to die for! Could not recommend the restaurant highly enough.

We booked this restaurant very last minute and we're so glad we did. £20 a head, for a good steak, sides and a drink is excellent value for money.

Food excellent, staff on the ball, a great experience I would highly recommend for steak lovers. My only observation would be if any of your party have difficulty with stairs. You would need to let them know in advance as the restaurant is split over a couple of floors

Delicious food and fantastic service. Always hard to find a good steak restaurant, especially in England. But after discovering how highly rated Cowshed was on TripAdvisor, I was very intrigued to try this place for myself. Booked in advance online for a birthday meal for my dad. All the steaks were really tasty except one of them was slightly overcooked. I mentioned this to our server James and he kindly took it off the bill. Definitely going above and beyond for us. Dad even received a free birthday shot which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again in the near future. Thanks again for having us guys!

Had a meal here for my boyfriends 21st, arrived early for drinks and were still offered our table. We shared the Greedy Cow which was cooked perfect. Overall great experience, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff 10/10

I love steak and the Cowshed served me one of the best fillets I’ve ever eaten. Service was also excellent and the venue is cosy and well outfitted. Overall highly recommended, it’s a superb restaurant.

The staff are so down to earth and lovely and know how to have a laugh. The food is 10000000%!!! Amazing. This was my second trip and will definitely return for more!

Fantastic service, our waiter was so friendly and welcoming and the quality of food was amazing, cooked exactly as required. Finally the decor was superb!! Only downside was food could have been a bit warmer but that's personal preference.

I was running late and had very little time but the staff could not have been more understanding and helpful. My meal arrived quickly and was so delicious. The flat iron steak was beyond perfect. Next time I will make sure I can stay longer.

Excellent place to go for a small number of people, the steak cooked exactly as we liked it and the service was great and really fast. I like the fact the room only had a small number of tables and you didn't get the feeling of being boxed in. I would recommend highly and will be going back in the near future!

Very nice service! Meat perfect! The spinach as side perfect. Bred as starter could be fresher... the rest of the food was perfect. Wine also good.

By far the best meal I have ever had in Liverpool. Of great note is the quality of the service. Our waiter was brilliant and even gave is both a complimentary drink to celebrate our anniversary. Amazing restaurant

Good value steak with cocktails and a friendly environment. Could do better if they served the cocktails more quickly as pre dinner drinks, because then we would have bought wine too. Rump steak was delicious, ribeye was ok but nothing special. Really friendly staff.

The meal was delicious and decently priced. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The only thing that prevents me giving this venue a 6 is the fact that the tables feel a bit too close to each other. The background music was also a bit random - Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody probably not ideal dining music...

Food is nice, staffs are friendly, environment is good. I will never know such a low profile restaurant has that amazing food if my cousin didn't recommend me to come, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others

A really great experience. A very homely feel, with the small dining rooms. Only 5 tables in the room we were in. The waiting staff were chatty and very friendly, and the steak was to die for. A perfect cut, I chose medium rare but so juicy and soft. Not tough at all. The pudding was also really nice. As a bloke, I did go for 2 sides along with the meal, and that was doable with pudding and a pint for the portion sizes. I'd thoroughly recommend it if you like steak!

Great food, good prices and brilliant service and staff! Our waitress was Jazz and she was really friendly and knowledgable, rest of staff were very welcoming too.

Reviews justified, one of the better Liverpool restaurants. They accomodated my request to fit in a 3rd person without a fuss. Straight forward steak selection was easy and steaks were cooked well, nice sides. There was a discerning selection of wines for the carnivore. Overall good value, £100 for 3. Will probably go back.

Very good environment and experience here. I think I will eat again some day with my friends. For the steak it is a little bit burnt, it may because I ordered a well cooked one. Looking forward to try other things next time.

Good food, good service only bad thing is I think a bigger selection on the menus would make the experience a little bit more enjoyable!

Fantastic from start to finish the staff wwre really friendly and helpful and the steaks were fabulous will definitely recommend and will be going again next time we are in liverpool
