A buzzing restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff. Good quality food. Would be good to have more veggie options.

Spent my birthday there. felt very welcome and appreciated. the early bird menu was great value with good choice.

Nice ambience and great food! staff very accommodating and the food came quickly which was great as we had hungry kids with us!

Disappointing no atmosphere service patchy & food not worth the money

They have changed the menu for the worse which is a-shame no classic american dishes anymore and our food came out overcooked causing us to complain.

Food was great but slightly overpriced and not the best service. Mains don’t come with anything else so have to order sides seperately at another £4 each.

Great service, good location also. Food was lovely and atmosphere was just right. Cocktails were nice however I did wait a little more then expected for my food but I'm gathering that might have had something to do with it being mother's day and a busy afternoon.

Lovely food and good service. Great to be able to seat a large group quickly on a busy Saturday night in Guildford. Will definitely return.

The food was OK and the staff lovely but they charged for the complimentary Prosecco, gave us the wrong chips and the sauce on the desert was cold so didn't work (it is supposed to be hot enough to melt the chocolate dome). Also found is strange that only the brunch menu was available on Mother's Day.

Pleasant attentive staff and liked the restaurant. However my food was warm as opposed to hot , I didn’t complain but when talking to the others guests in my party on the way home , they all said their food could have been hotter . The reason I chose the brunch at Jackson and Rye was because I had two excellent evening meals there , unfortunately today it didn’t meet those standard . I would give the restaurant a go and make your own mind up

Lovely food, great service and nice atmosphere. We attended for a baby shower brunch and it was the perfect location. Will definitely be coming back.

Friendly service, nice decor but portions were a little small (one minuscule piece of toast with poached eggs and the cappuccino was tiny) and my friend’s food was cold unfortunately. They did replace it but I was finished by the time we got a replacement.

Great atmosphere and a really subtle waitress. We were in a bit of a rush too and our food came early to give us plenty of time.

Really lovely food. My partners steak was over cooked but they cooked him a new one, which was much better and the staff were apologetic about this.

Our first visit, pre-theatre meal. Welcoming staff, nice (and warm!) atmosphere. Good service and delicious meal. Chicken burger tasty, though wasn't expecting the chicken to be battered! Husband enjoyed his soup and beef burger (though thought £2 extra for a rasher of bacon was rather rash!!) Pecan pie gets a special mention! We will be back!

Nice place, just a bit too pricey for what you get. Staff attentive, good location not a lot of choices available, great for special occasions.

Not much choice for vegetarians. The atmosphere was nice. But food was average, table size for 2 is too small and very close to the table next door.

Great place although the times and days for the lunch and brunch menus should be on the website. Wanted the lunch menu but when arrived, found its only available weekdays.

The food was of good quality and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was good. Rather limited options for vegetarians.

The service was friendly and prompt, the staff were welcoming, the food arrived quickly and was very tasty and the portion were large. Can't fault anything about my visit.

Excellent service. Fillet steak perfectly cooked medium rare. Beans al dente. Could have given a few more chips. Dessert apple tart couldn’t fault it. Not too sweet. Really enjoyed the whole meal Cocktail old fashioned good. Too much ice needed maraschino cherry for perfect

As always, a delicious meal and well served by excellent people. I rarely get a good steak in England but the rib eye was exceptional. They bring the best flavours and cuisine from the USA, which is actually quite unique in England. Thoroughly recommended!

Great service, very welcoming and friendly staff. Had the Valentine's menu - lovely food and big portions! Couldn't fault anything :) 2nd visit and definitely not the last one.

Lovely meal and super staff -very obliging and happy to help sort some vegan options. The ambiance was relaxing and although it was saturday night service was attentive but not overbearing. will definitely go again.

the staff were welcoming and we were shown to our table- it was a bit of a squash for two- one person at the back felt very hemmed in and the one in the aisle felt in the way.... Cocktails list is good, bottled beers ok, not much choice on wine by the glass and no descriptions of the wines beyond a heading. Food was swiftly brought, so you could certainly eat here if you were in a hurry, but we didn't feel as though they wanted us out either. The BBQ platter was tasty, possibly just a little overseasoned as there were 3 different flavours on one plate, though that's a personal feeling, not necessarily a criticism. It's the kind of place where you feel you know what you'll get, and that is exactly what you get :) Quite enjoyable, but not exciting.

We were very excited to visit here as the menu looked good however the food was average, service poor & the decor quite dared. Overpriced.

The steak wasn’t great not medium rare as ordered, service wasn’t great, mushrooms were cold, standard restaurant trick of asking if everything is ok 2 minutes after food is served so you can’t complain and then ignore you until you’ve finished , shoestring fries are not what they served they served French fries and then argued with me about it. Wouldn’t go there again very disappointed with the food mainly and attitude of a couple of the staff there. If you want chain food with mediocre service but at a high price this is the restaurant for you. It’s a shame because a couple of the staff were really nice and took pride in what they were doing shame the other staff and clearly the I don’t give a shit chefs made this very disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend this for anything other than a quick lunch. Totally gutted as had so much promise

The restaurant is quite large but empty on the night we visited which was a shame The service was excellent and the food was ok but nothing special for the price

Enjoyed the breakfast we had. We went there as a team event, and I believe we all liked it. Eggs Benedict and co. were on an avocado base rather than English muffin - not sure I liked that innovation entirely, hehe.

Lovely, attentive staff and yummy food! Would recommend for both brunch and for dinner! We went for my husband's birthday and the staff were really accomodating and allowed me to drop off a birthday cake and candles the day before, which they brought out for him after dinner, singing happy birthday!

Food was ok. We had steaks - a bit dry but cooked to the right level. Service was ok. Very little atmosphere for a Saturday night. Overall ok but nothing special.

Pulled pork hash & eggs was something wonderful and different. Bloody Mary’s are always fabulous and super spicey. Lovely warm atmosphere on a very cold Sunday morning.

food took far too long to come out. Shame, won't be back. Weren't given any notification that the kitchen was that busy on the night.

Had an enjoyable evening,food was delicious and served by Georgia,who was an absolute delight,was attentive,pleasant and pleasurable, a complete difference from last time we were there.Would we return if today’s experience is to go by then Yes we will.

Love Jackson and rye brunch first had it in the soho branch but since we were going to Guildford thought we’d visit that one too. Great food great service

Really enjoyed it here. The food and the service was great and we thought it was a very nicely designed restaurant, quite unique in Guildford.
