Jackson + Rye - Guildford

Excellent family meal to celebrate a birthday. Faultless service that was the perfect amount of attentiveness. Big thank you to the team for taking good care of us and recognising the birthday with a special dessert presentation without being prompted. Thank you Jackson & Rye Guildford!!

Good service from an attentive host. Food tasted good, though the menu is quite limited. Would visit again for cocktails and to try brunch menu.

Good, tasty food and great service. The Malbec was delicious and I particularly enjoyed the pecan pie at the end of the meal. Very nice indeed!

The welcoming was nice and also the starters worked well. Unfortunately, some small failures occurred, as the info with wine went wrong ( asked for dry Riesling and got sweet instead) and even if we hadn't finished with our plates they were collected. All in all, nice evening but not in excellent level.

Easy to book on line,clear instructions. inside the restaurant decor tasteful/cosy, Food good, maybe more choice, service excellant alittle expensive,ambience good. I believe cater for private parties

Good to find something a bit different in Guildford. Friendly staff, great decor, tasty food (especially the pecan pie) big choice of whiskeys or bourbons, shame it’s a little pricey.

We visited for a posh burger and it was really delicious, probably best burger and fries in Guildford. Plus they gave us 2 free prosecco because it is the restaurant's 1 year anniversary. All around a lovely experience

It’s “ok”. Not sure what they are trying to be. The decor and set up, which is formal and smart, suggests that the food will be very good, but it is very basic. And the portions far too small for the cost.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Steaks were lovely but chips slightly undercooked which was a shame. However everything else was great. Would definitely go back.

Service was a little slow but food was great. I had to ask for some more maple syrup for my pancakes but other than that - lovely.

It is a friendly quiet restaurant with good food and a good selection of dishes. Some food like potatoes were off the menu; only potato option was chips. The chef ought to be able to boil potatoes or do Jacket potatoes. Otherwise it’s a good place got an unhurried meal near top of Guildford high street

We had a brunch here. Table of 6. Food was very good and most of the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. However, As the restaurant got busier the service did deteriate from certain staff. Overall though food and surroundings were very good .

Food was really tasty and well cooked. I had a perfect beautiful steak. However service was patchy (drinks and condiments asked for didn’t arrive), food was tepid and frankly overpriced. Shame because we had fun last time we went. They offered us dessert to compensate which was decent!

Good table, nice layout and Service was great, however some menu items weren’t available and mains could have been hotter. Desserts were very good !

Rather disappointing- mediocre food that wasn’t worth the money. Two of us, just starter and main course plus a couple of drinks was nearly £50 per head. The food wasn’t hot and not very tasty. Such a shame as the menu looked very promising.

Amazing food and a fantastic time! We love the menu and the thanks giving menu was outstanding. Rebecca our waitress was fantastic and we will be coming back again soon 😊😊

Poor service, no waiter, we were served by the barman. Forgot starters then brought them after mains and no sauces offered. No entertainment offered for little one but noticed they had paper and pencils as we left. After all this they automatically included 12% optional service charge which I had to ask them to remove. Food was average. We were going to be having a work lunch here but it has been moved elsewhere as a result. Forgot to mention that we were one of only two tables at lunchtime so there was no excuse.

Had a fabulous evening with good food and brilliant table service - all in all a very good experience. This is one of many times I have been to this restaurant but it was the first time for our friends who both agreed they would go again . Well done folks x

They were very slow but said it was because they were busy but the restaurant was half empty. Not the best food I’ve ever had. I don’t think I we’ll be back.

The food and service were great - very speedy. The only downside was that the restaurant felt quite crowded - tables were very close together.

Really nice restaurant great steaks great cocktails we enjoyed it very much for a birthday celebration. Brunch menu also very good . Staff there very attentive!

Over priced ,a lot of the steaks were sold out at 8.15 ,one of the fish dishes was sold out! They offered the alternative which was very disappointing! They took this of the bill and our friend went home hungry! Won’t be returning anytime soon or recommending to other friends!

Very friendly welcome and good choice on the menu, Burger was great would recommend for pre-show or family night out, Maybe a little pricey though.

Really great experience, although a little on the expensive side and it was quite quiet when we were there so lacked atmosphere. Overall I would come again.

Booking online couldn't be simpler. We arrived early but the staff happily accommodated us. In fact the staff were fantastic, very attentive, incredibly friendly (but not overly so) and happy to make recommendations and swaps. The food was authentic and really flavoursome. We really enjoyed it. The cocktails were outstanding. Really lovely anniversary meal - we will be back!

The staff were good and the ambiance pleasant. That said, the breakfast we had was pretty poor. The pancakes were 'flat' and lacked lightness, the felt like they had been shop bought and heated up rather than cooked fresh. The bacon was very tough my poached eggs however were good as was the coffee.

Service was below par for the price charged and food was avarge at best 3 members of staff asked us how the meal was during the meal because the restaurant was so quite and communication between staff was poor

We had booked as we expected it to be busy Friday lunchtime, but it was empty. We skipped starters then waited 40mins for our mains. Quality of the food didn't match the descriptions on the menu and portion sizes were not overly generous.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic cooked to my request. The whole experience on the night was fantastic. Not the cheapest but you pay for the quality.

I love the pancakes. The atmosphere is good every time. I love taking my 3 month old there. I can’t wait for her to be able to eat there with us!

Food is amazing, and brilliant service! Amazing choices of good and drink if your looking to try something different from the average restaurants in Guildford!

We had an excellent meal here. Good, attentive service, a lovely atmosphere and great food from the set early evening menu - around £30 per head for a three course meal with drinks was good value for the quality. We plan to go again.
