Excellent service from Roger and delicious food. We all had a brilliant time and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I honestly can't recommend it enough and we'll be back soon!

The food was very poor. The ribs were overcooked, tough and tasted burnt. The sticky toffee pudding was not eaten by both of the boys, which is unheard of, as the sauce was unpleasant. Having said that, the service was great and the manager reduced the bill on account if the poor food quality.

Went for breakfast on a bank holiday. Great food but the service was a bit all over the place. Would still go back and try it again.

Food was good but a couple of things we wanted to order were not available. Staff were nice but had to wait ages for our main course.

This was an extremely pleasant experience all round. I visited with a group of friends for friends for a catch up and a birthday. Waitress super helpful and friendly.

Decent food, and friendly service, quite pricey for essentially a mid range steak restaurant. Shrimp burger was ok, salt and pepper squid nice and strip steak good size and cooked well, not particularly flavour full. Always hate restaurants which add an "optional" service charge, if it's optional, let me decide!

Hi, my friend and I have given feedback to the (very nice) manager this evening. The bottom line is that the food doesn't meet expectations and doesn't match the price of the menu. My friend hardly ate her main course and wasn't questioned by the waitress. The waiting staff were ok. The restaurant was quiet for a Friday night and I wonder if it is because people feel like we do. Food isn't up to scratch and neither is the service I'm afraid. Also we weren't able to sit where we wanted to in the middle of the restaurant because it was booked up we were told and it wasn't I think it's because staff are briefed to sit people next to windows at the front so it looks busy but I'm afraid that isn't working. Please improve the food and service and we will happily come back.

Friendly staff and huge portions but the food was distinctly average. Better to cut back the size and put more love and care into what you do provide - my steak was tough and the chips were luke warm. Nothing so terrible to complain but I won't be going back

Food and service were very good. All five of us enjoyed our entrees, although my son who had a combination meal thought the quality of the short ribs his brother had and brisket that I had were of higher quality on the separate meal than they were on his combination plate. It is quite noisy but that is typical of most restaurants now. Seating was comfortable.

Food is overpriced for what you get. The fillet steak and smoked short rib of beef were disappointing compared to the description on the menu.

Quite disappointed that I put on the reservation it was for my husbands 40th birthday & they never even wished him happy birthday. When we arrived the lady was put out that I'd put the reservation for 4 instead of 5 as I hadn't included the baby even though the restaurant was empty so it didn't make a difference.

General ambience was good and staff were attentive but food was not great. Other nearby restaurants do it better for less. Try Cau over the road instead.

The service was good and the food was good. The waitress, although very friendly, asked 4 or 5 times how everything was, which was irritating.

The food was very late, numerous choices weren't available and the ribs were incredibly salty. Not even close to resembling the excellent Richmond branch. Complaints from various tables about lateness and the 'chef' burnt the steak of one customer so they had to wait to have it redone. Won't be coming back.

At first appearances this place looked great. Nice atmosphere and decor, quite clean. The menu was incredibly enticing, especially as my husband is from a Southern a American family and we really love a real soUthern BBQ dinner. Unfortunately, despite arriving in an early empty restaurant, our family was seated right by the door, practically in the middle of what became a very busy bar. Making the best of it, we ordered drinks (Arnold Palmers) for the kids and cocktails for adults, and appetisers. The Palmers were quite sour- not really good for kids, despite being on the kids menu. So we bought two more drinks instead. The corn dogs were tasty, but the wings were disappointingly bland, a crispy battered chicken wing with several choices of sauce. Should have been good, but somehow wasn't. After a further 30 minute wait (and over an hour after we sat) our entrees arrived. The fried chicken burgers- again, looked great, but had a strange ashy taste- perhaps the coleslaw seasonings were off? Fries were decent. The brisket (apparently a new items) arrived looking amazing, but once more, despite a generous portion of tender meat, it had a strong gamey taste, which I really hope doesn't come back to haunt me later. The pickles (usually my favourite part) were metallic tasting, and sadly, the homemade baked beans were watery and missing that lovely smokey sweet taste they should have. However, the, cornbread slices were tasty- (a quick sear on the grille would improve them even further!) but they were the only thing I was able to finish during the meal so I'll just be grateful they were in the plate. My daughter's "chocolate sundae" was vanilla ice cream with a 4 teeny pieces of either chocolate chips or brownie. The rest of us couldn't face the prospect of dessert. So, the pluses: The service was solid all around- we had several different people wait on us, they were lovely and friendly ,and they all communicated well with one another about our order. The cocktails looked amazing and my husband really enjoyed the Mint Julep, which is an easy drink to mess up. The portion sizes for the foods were just right, and the variety on the menu was enormous (maybe they're trying to cover too much ground here?) again, lovely atmosphere, easy to find location, parking close by, etc. We even had a food allergy we had to be aware of, which was handled Very well- allergen ingredient cards were available quickly and easily. However, at the end of the day, the food was just a miss. Everything else was great. It tries so hard, I wanted to love it, (believe me, I'm dying to find a new Saturday night Go-To place!) but the food just doesn't justify the trip into Guildford.

Service was good, but good was mediocre. I booked a table for 5 , but was crammed on a table that was suitable for 4. The restaurant didn't even seem to be full in capacity.

Sadly this meal didn't live up to our expectations. My wife had the short rib and it was cold. We sent it back and the second one was greasy. Not what you expect when you're paying almost £20 for a main. No issues with the service though - the staff were friendly and polite. We may go back but not in a rush to do so.

Staff were good, but food decidely average. Starters arrived barely lukewarm, but were ok. Mains pretty unappetizing. Brisket was smothered in nasty artificially 'smoky' sauce. Steak tender but tasteless. Chips not crispy and also surprisingly tasteless. No hint of being triple-cooked. Won't be going back.....

Wonderful, the service outstanding, the food to die for. Had 3 courses never done that anywhere before. I've never enjoyed my food so much ever. The atmosphere was relaxing and the bill didn't break the bank. Will def recommend and go back again .

A completely different experience last night. Very loud "Fairground" Music, very few customers. Lots of staff rushing around, but not making eye contact with their customers, so opportunities missed to take orders. When a 2nd drink order was FINALLY placed, the order was not fulfilled, despite the server coming back to recheck the selected wine. An overhead fan was blowing cold air at high speed over us. We had to ask twice to have this turned off. The family on the table behind us complained to the manager about their meal and got a discount of some kind. Our starter and main courses were very good but very long delays in between courses. The recommended dessert, blueberry and apple crumbler was loaded, and I mean LOADED with brandy, to the point where it tasted awful - like very alcoholic Christmas Pudding. The cost of the dessert was removed from our bill. The Saving Grace was our very lovely waitress, who we gathered is a drama student, a sweet girl who was very apologetic about our experience. Don't think we will bother going back. The manager could have done a lot more to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant, and made sure his few customers were happy.

Nice new restaurant I booked in advance just as well very busy and we seated at the front of the restaurant which was quite noisy with people coming and going the rear of the restaurant looked a nicer area.Steak and eggs and the buttermilk chicken were all good. we had good food at reasonable price but some things on the menu were pricey like the Steaks. Did not like the service charge being added there at an extra £14 there was only 4 of us.

Really good food and drink. Nice selection of dishes on the menu. Generous portion sizes. The Cajun chicken was especially good. Served by attentive staff.
