Super meal. Tucked away the atmosphere is lovely for a quiet meal for two or a party of friends where you can take your time and soak up the good and drink!!. Excellent friendly service. Try it!

Only issue was that the food took 45 minutes to arrive after we ordered. We weren’t in a hurry but other diners were. The lady who served us was pleasant and efficient but there was some sort of problem in the kitchen. Food was good once it arrived.

We were waiting for a long time for our main, and we planned to do the fixed price lunch menu. We were on our lunch break, so we didn't have all the time in the world to spare. Sadly we had to pass on dessert because of how long it took to get our main, and asked for the bill. That also took too long, so we went up to pay and had to pay the full price of the main because we didn't get a chance to make use of the lunch menu deal. The food was wonderful - but the service was just too slow for lunch breaks.

Not bad for the money but the Beef bourguignon was tasteless, probably because of a lack of onions. The cheese beignets starter was a bit ordinary too.

Good food. No teapots for tea afterwards which we like. Only downstairs loo difficult for disabled visitor.

We were really looking forward to our visit, but unfortunately left somewhat disappointed. Its a lovely building with a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, and also apologetic. For some reason we were left waiting for 45-50 mins for our main course although, to be fair,we were given a small discount to compensate. However, the main reason we went was because my wife adores Bouillbaisse but she was disappointed with this, and I had the Beef Bourguignon which was delightful but a very small portion. Also, it was a busy evening so the noise level was high and we could here every word of an adjacent table which was a little off-putting. I'm sure we just dropped on a 'bad night', but it was an expensive one for what we had, even with the discount. But,as I have already said, I'm sure we were just unlucky on the night.

Delicious meal, freshly cooked French food. There is a very nice ambience and attentive staff.
