Plates and Co.

Service was very slow and the food served on cold plates. The mushroom risotto was very disappointing, lacking flavour. Great shame as whilst waiting for our meal we thought what a wonderful setting and we were anticipating many return visits.

A very enjoyable lunch with exceptional food and excellent service. We had a delightful table and although we had to wait between courses, this was inevitable as the food was freshly cooked.

Quirky renovation from chapel to restaurant very well done.staff excellent,food choice,presentation and taste could not be faulted,our first but not last visit will definitely return

The food was delicious but the service could be a bit more attentive and welcoming and we were surprised that it wasn't busier than it was as it was pay weekend.

A very pleasant dining experience in every respect. The service was efficient, helpful and very willing to please. The food was excellent and well presented. Unlike some restaurants which are noisy, this one was able to absorb the usual chatter which did not intrude upon other diners. In all, a lovely evening with some guests from America who were very impressed with this restaurant as we were.

Amazing menu and service.Our second visit and will return soon. Dining experience is so enjoyable and our choice of menu always exceptional and of high standard in both taste and presentation.

Very good service and food. Pity that the entrance stairs are so narrow and the lift is very small and temperamental. That being said our group had an enjoyable evening. .

Food was good, service good - a very good experience altogether! The church is beautifully transformed into a restaurant but for us may feel a little open and large.

Plates has a very welcoming ambience, the staff are attentive and the food is first class, beautifully presented, very tasty and for me the portions are just right, the choice is limited but very good and different!! Nothing dull, all very "new" and inventive. My friends and I enjoyed our meal immensely and will be sure to visit Plates again.

The staff were lovely, food was good, presentation of food was excellent! Really lovely venue, beautifully done! Service was a little slow, but not massively! All around pretty good, id go back again!

Great place for a relaxed Sunday lunch with friends - you don't get rushed and there is time between courses. Our food was good, certainly plentiful and it arrived on hot plates (a big plus in my book). Lovely setting, and tables are well spaced out. Lovely staff, who really seem to care that you are enjoying the food. Will definitely eat here again soon.

Excellent food and presentation - choice somewhat limited. Service pleasant and efficient. Ambience enjoyable. An experience to savour so certainly worth giving it a try.

Food was outstanding, service was great, couldn't decide on the wine so the lady behind the bar was so helpful and educational. Our main server, lady with dark hair was excellent, very attentive and again lots of good knowledge on the food. Will certainly be returning. Very impressed.

Staff were friendly, professional and attentive. We enjoyed a superb meal, we were a party of 6 and we all chose something different. Each dish was delicious. Beautiful setting.

Excellent meal as always. The food is beautifully presented. Only small moan is the extortionate price of a small glass of wine - over £5. It's not enough to keep me away though!

The £15, 3-course (2 courses + free dessert offer) Sunday lunch was amazing value for good quality food. Service was slow but as we weren't in a hurry this didn't matter. Nice ambience and beautiful room albeit a bit dark.

Always excellent service and food which is why we travel a hour to go there Only negative is sticky toffee pudding not being on the menu any more as it was my favourite and the best I have ever had! Compliments to the chef!!

Very nice lunch. The mussels were excellent, the fishcake was huge and would of been nicer presentation wise if there had been 2 smaller ones on the plate. Pork loin a bit dry and tuf but the waitress dealt with the problem perfectly offering to change it and giving me my glass of wine on the house. Very pleasant service and very apologetic. All in all a good experience.

Superb lunch as we have come to love each time we have visited. The beef was cooked perfectly and the sauce/gravy was so tasty !
