Sorrento Restaurant - Glasgow

Excellent dinner with the family, all 8 of us really enjoyed the food and the service was pleasant and efficient. Woyld definitely recommend. We will be back.

We love this place . The service is first class and the food is delicious. I was a little disappointed they have taken my favourite sweet off the menu (strawberry mess) however the calypso coffee was lovely

We were a table of 8 and we had lunch on Saturday 20th. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend this and will return.

We enjoyed our lunch in Sorrento, Byres Road. As usual, very tasty starter, delicious main and lovely dessert served in cosy surroundings by friendly staff.

Took my girlfriend for nice lunch. Staff really friendly and helpful. Their lunch menu although a bit limited is amazing value. Will be back here very soon as food was not to fault at any point 🙂

Very good and patient with children. Only negative was that one of out main courses was later than the rest and we had just about finished ours by the time it came. Food lovely and staff excellent

Waited 40 minutes after ordering. Scallops with haggis had no haggis. But when food arrived everything was delicious and worth the wait. Service was excellent. I would recommend Sorrento to anyone. We have been before and will definitely go back.

We had a delicious meal. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The booking system was also flawless.

We have wonderful food! Absolutely delicious! The staff was wonderful because they had a huge party of 22 and we were just 4 people!! They made our experience great! Our first time coming here!!

Little gem of a place..food was really tasty and well presented and the service we received from the waitress was splendid..we will definitely return again soon

Lovely meal in a spacious and friendly atmosphere. Waitress very friendly and helpful. My companion and I had a leisurely lunch and didn’t feel rushed in the least.

We received a good welcome, prompt attention and good service. Slightly disappointed that the restaurant could not produce tomato juice. The menu offered good choices and portions were very generous. Background music was slightly intrusive for a group who delight in good conversation as well as an enjoyable meal. We noted with satisfaction that there was a positive response to our request that the volume be lowered. After all, it was a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was reatively quiet.

Great food and excellent service. booked last minute and been accomodate with no problem .We tried out the new menu and was well worth . I highly recommend this restaurant

Nice family restaurant, located on 1st floor of building, friendly & attentive service, no issues with the quality of the food although it would have been enhanced by some veg……..maybe I should have read the menu closer ! This would not deter another visit if I were in the area again.

We weren't given lunch menu had to ask for it and had to send pasta dish back as hardly any Italian sausage waitress counted 3

2 of the specials were 'off' from an already small menu. The carbonara was completely tasteless. Disappointed. We go to a lot of Italian restaurants and unfortunately we won't be back to this one.

Great food. Pizza was really nice as was lasagne. Hot choc fudge cake was amazing! Lunchtime is well priced 😉lovely attentive staff. Worth a visit🙂

Superb quality food as always will always return here as I have done on numerous occasions the prices are great too never a fault here .

Really lovely fresh pasta carbonara with accompanying garlic bread. Nice glass of good quality Montepulciano d’abruzzo In the West End with a nice lively vibe Recommended

Food average but expensive for what you get .staff OK but inexperienced. Worst of all staff don't even get the tips.which I was only going to give because of there efforts

Really attentive staff, great tasting meal, the portions were either too big or too small. The special was enough to feed two people whilst the lasange was a small square in a really large plate, making it look even smaller

Me and my friend really enjoyed our meal there I explained that I had a table booked for 6.30pm but had been delayed due to a power failure on the Glasgow Underground they said it wasn’t a problem got seated and had a nice meal. Would definitely go back as service and meal were really good.

The food was good- fresh and nicely served and very tasty. The service was very slow though and the timing of service was not great.

A pleasant relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. We only had time for a main course (I had risotto and my friend had spaghetti bolognese) and they were both filling and well prepared.

Myself and a friend had lunch at Sorrento on 15 June. The food was tasty, hot and very nice. The waiter who attended to us most of the time was very courteous and happy to answer any questions we had. All in all we had a lovely time at Sorrento and would return.

Great food and one waitress was very efficient while some other staff could have been a little bit more switched on. Also restaurant was quite cool due to airconditioning. Would return.

The service was a tad slow, but oh my they made up for it with the food. Food was just amazing. Starter, main and dessert were just all perfect. Will definitely be back!

food and service is great. a bit pricey on the wine at £8 a glass though and a beer at over £5 but i suppose that is why the food is good value, won,t stop me from using it again for a lunch and a soft drink next time.

Nice place, good atmosphere and service. Of the 4 veal dishes ordered, 3 were tough and quite salty. Excellent dessert made up for that and wouldn't put us off another visit.

Sorrento has friendly, attentive staff. Fantastic meal. Overall excellent. Fillet steak cooked to perfection and Strawberry Mess was an indulgence that would do nothing for the waistline but certainly was worth it.

Really impressed with Sorrento.....great welcome as we came in, quickly seated and that set the tone for the whole experience. Seating is nicely spaced making the most of the available space. The food was delicious and well presented. There were 3 of us and we all heartily enjoyed it. Great wee find...we'll definitely be back!

A hidden gem on Byres Road. Through door & upstairs to lovely decor. Staff were really nice & food was great. The crostino gamberone to start was amazing.

Staff friendly, nice atmosphere. No cocktail menu or knowledge on cocktails but did make them up for us. Food was all very tasty and we’d happily return.

Great food, great service will be back really nice traditional looking Italian. Pizza and Pasta was very good and a good range of wines. I would highly recommend this place.

great food and atmosphere. had the scallops and the spaghetti capone which was very nice.chocolate fudge cake dessert and espresso was great way to finish Service was also very good and overall wood go back to Sorrento :-)
