Really attentive staff, great tasting meal, the portions were either too big or too small. The special was enough to feed two people whilst the lasange was a small square in a really large plate, making it look even smaller
Me and my friend really enjoyed our meal there I explained that I had a table booked for 6.30pm but had been delayed due to a power failure on the Glasgow Underground they said it wasn’t a problem got seated and had a nice meal. Would definitely go back as service and meal were really good.
The food was good- fresh and nicely served and very tasty. The service was very slow though and the timing of service was not great.
A pleasant relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. We only had time for a main course (I had risotto and my friend had spaghetti bolognese) and they were both filling and well prepared.
Myself and a friend had lunch at Sorrento on 15 June. The food was tasty, hot and very nice. The waiter who attended to us most of the time was very courteous and happy to answer any questions we had. All in all we had a lovely time at Sorrento and would return.
Great food and one waitress was very efficient while some other staff could have been a little bit more switched on. Also restaurant was quite cool due to airconditioning. Would return.
The service was a tad slow, but oh my they made up for it with the food. Food was just amazing. Starter, main and dessert were just all perfect. Will definitely be back!
food and service is great. a bit pricey on the wine at £8 a glass though and a beer at over £5 but i suppose that is why the food is good value, won,t stop me from using it again for a lunch and a soft drink next time.
Nice place, good atmosphere and service. Of the 4 veal dishes ordered, 3 were tough and quite salty. Excellent dessert made up for that and wouldn't put us off another visit.
2nd visit and enjoyed it as much as the 1st. Excellent service and food. Relaxing ambience. Will definitely return again soon. Great location in Byres Road.
Sorrento has friendly, attentive staff. Fantastic meal. Overall excellent. Fillet steak cooked to perfection and Strawberry Mess was an indulgence that would do nothing for the waistline but certainly was worth it.
Lovely restuarant on Byres road. The food was amazing and the service was great. Already Looking forward to our next visit. I would highly recommend.
As usual, tasty Italian lunch in lovely surroundings served by friendly and efficient staff. This restaurant never disappoints and is always good value for money.
Really impressed with Sorrento.....great welcome as we came in, quickly seated and that set the tone for the whole experience. Seating is nicely spaced making the most of the available space. The food was delicious and well presented. There were 3 of us and we all heartily enjoyed it. Great wee find...we'll definitely be back!
A hidden gem on Byres Road. Through door & upstairs to lovely decor. Staff were really nice & food was great. The crostino gamberone to start was amazing.
Staff friendly, nice atmosphere. No cocktail menu or knowledge on cocktails but did make them up for us. Food was all very tasty and we’d happily return.
Great food, great service will be back really nice traditional looking Italian. Pizza and Pasta was very good and a good range of wines. I would highly recommend this place.
Great service and delicious food. looking forward to our next visit
A delicious meal in comfortable, relaxed surroundings with excellent service. The restaurant was quiet on this occasion. Definitely recommend a visit. We will be returning soon!
great food and atmosphere. had the scallops and the spaghetti capone which was very nice.chocolate fudge cake dessert and espresso was great way to finish Service was also very good and overall wood go back to Sorrento :-)
Lovely food, pleasant staff and great atmosphere! Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Food was reasonably priced but found the wine to be expensive. Had a nice time!
Very good food & nice ambiance. Felt like an authentic Italian restaurant. Good service. One slight problem is that it's only accessible by stairs which is bit of a problem for elderly parents, otherwise really good.
We had a lovely family meal at Sorrentos. Great service and delicious food, thank you. In fact some are f the best Italian food we have ever had 🙂
My mother and I came for mother's Day lunch and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent and so was the friendly service. Will definitely be back.
Nice food, good pleasant service. Restaurant was a bit quiet though for a Friday night in West End of Glasgow, so atmosphere could have been better.
Very poor. Service ok. Food average and expensive. Fish was not fresh, deserts sour in fact wad off. Very expensive lunch for no standard of dining. No atmosphere...music far too loud and tasteless. Good coffee.
The restaurant was freezing and we never got our garlic bread we ordered..that was our 2nd time in restaurant we loved it the first time but won’t be going back
The food was fantastic. I am a fussy eater and i loved everything. The staff were also very polite and friendly and the price was reasonable. We will be back :) amazing restaurant
Was absolutely beautiful food only problem is there tables where to close together and you can here the person next to you chew never mind speak
Staff very attentive and meal very tasty Good choice and value for money Location at top of Byres Road ideal Family friendly Would go back
A lovely friendly restaurant with great service. Classic menu. What more can I say? You want 25 words? I am not a gastronome. Wine was nice. Ok?
We sent back both our main courses, they were not freshly cooked but reheated. Lasagne was a square lump of precooked pasta layers with no bechamel and mince and sauce put on top. I had gnochhi in tomato sauce with cheese it was totally lacking in flavour. We were not charged for the main courses. I will never return here.
Nice place , very good service. Food was lovely but I think it would be busier if they did a pre-theatre menu ( when I booked it said there was one, but when we asked on the night, not so) . Would eat here again.
Outstanding food and service and very affordable prices! A visit to Sorrento is like taking a trip to Italy. We highly recommend trying this lovely dining experience!
Excellent food and service.Had the Saturday lunch menu which was good value for money.Staff attentive without being intrusive.Ideal lication-close to various transport links.Definitely worth visiting.
A nice cosy Italian restaurant with a family run feeling, good food at reasonable prices. Good location with easy access from buses, tube or on foot.
Have dined here several times. Excellent pasta. - always cooked to perfection. Sadly, I can’t say the same for their desserts. A hit or miss affair. Chocolate fondant was the best option this time but, even then, the middle didn’t melt - was overdone. The Cannelo Siciliano was a huge disappointment (tasted frozen) and the fruitti di Bosco was also sub par. A real shame.
Excellent service and dinner, love this place! From the warm welcome, being seated with drinks, time to read Enticing menu. Food delicious, piping hot and tasty.
lovely set meal and Kids meal, and great service end to end. Marked down because they don't accept American Express, despite advertising to the contrary.
The food and service were very good. The waitress was really pleasant and chatty. The ambience was fine, albeit it was slightly cold and heating could have been warmer.
