Mates steak came out rare when he asked for medium, was rump though so hard to cook all the way through to medium,aside from that was amazing as always

Great value for money. I had the fillet steak which was cooked perfectly. Friendly service. Good atmosphere, just a little bit noisier than I would have liked.

6 of us had lunch for a 50th birthday. Waitress were very attentive, food was served to the correct person as we were having separate bills. Food and plates was hot, the food itself was superb. Staff couldn't have done more, even brought out a cake for the birthday girl! We decided to pay for the birthday girls lunch between us as a surprise, the waitress even sorted that out for us adding everything up equally. Can't recommend this place enough.

great value lunch time menu worth exploring, not been disappointed yet! good quality food always served by professional friendly staff. Juke box music sometimes a bit too loud, but still definitely worth a visit.

The menu has been slightly changed and the service is nowhere near as good as it used to be.The food overall is alright but room for improvement

Food was perfect, could not fault. One of the best steaks I have ever had (I had the fillet). Staff were attentive and quick, perhaps could have been a little friendlier and did feel a bit rushed at times but perhaps just because it was fairly quiet so food etc came quickly. Would definitely go back.

Steak was absolute bang on! Garlic cheese bread was amazing service was brilliant. Overall Great experience would recommend to all my friends and family! 10 out of 10

14/6/17 My sister and I booked a table for 5.30. We were late as we got lost but that wasn't a problem. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely go again.

The food was lovely, decent sized kids portions and more than enough for the adults. Only slightly disappointing thing was asked for my steak 'medium' to 'medium well' and, in my opinion it was 'well done'. No pink in the steak at all so I found it a bit dry. Apart from that everything else was lovely. High standard of service from everyone we dealt with

good quality food and pleasant waiting staff. only drank bottled beers but they were cold and enjoyable. Cajun steak was something a little different but very tasty.

Food very high standard meal sizes small but filling , had the lunch time menu lots to choose from , shame peppercorn sauces was classed as a extra , great vibe if into soul and Motown would eat there again

Always have good food , and the staff are so friendly and efficient . I didn't realise that we could book ahead by text , until I was looking on Soulville site , and that popped up. Very pleased.!!!

We had a lovely meal and the service was very good. They allowed us to enjoy our meal at our own pace as it was an evening catching up with friends had see for a while.

Usually excellent, unfortunately there was a very noisy party at the same time and this - along with the music - was too much. We thus left without eating. Maybe there could be a warning email if future large gatherings are organised?

Fantastic meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, and it was a very reasonable price. This restaurant is one of the best is Nottingham for quality and value.

Pleasant staff, shown to our table promptly. Lovely service. Big portions of food we had New Orleans chicken, highly recommend, garlic bread side order was also large portion. If have difficulty climbing any stairs you would need to request a downstairs table. WC nice and clean. Music at a good level where you can still hold a conversation.

first time visiting the place, was ok if a bit dark. the food is very basic, like a local pub lunch, my girlfriend's burger wasn't cooked, as soon as she took a bite, bloody came out, the bottom bun was pink from the bloody. was told they were home made burgers but I've never seen home made ones looking a hockey puck. and there wasn't even any salad or anything on the burger. Will not be visiting again.

The whole experience provided fantastic value for money. The food was excellent and arrived very quickly. The customer service was second to none. Very pleased with our visit and will be back again soon!

EXcellent service. Fantastic food, steaks cooked to liking. Great value. Two lagers were unavailable when we visited which was a shame but they did offer a free drink.

The food was yummy and the service was wonderful too! Will definitely be returning. Atmosphere was great. Music not too loud that you could chat amongst our table. A great night out

This is now the 4th time we have been to Nottingham to pick up our daughter at Nottingham Trent Uni and it just gets better each time. The service is excellent, everyone has a nice smile and very attentive. We were 11 this time and all ordered steaks. Every steak was cooked to perfection. Cannot fault this restaurant at all. So So nice. Well done to everyone working at Soulville Steakhouse Nottingham. We WILL be back. xx

Excellent service and quality food makes a gem of a restaurant in a great location. Arrived early but no problem nice relaxing drink with some nice sounds.

If you like good basic steak and chip meals at a reasonable price, look no further. Been here several times and never disappointed. I recommend this establishment.

Friendly staff, good food. Couldn't hear the music though, which is one of the reasons I chose this restaurant for the Motown. Would go again.

Great meal and good service my son is a coeliac ( gluten intolerant ) the waitress went to great lengths to see he was catered

Meal was very nice for 6 out of the 7 of us. One was very disappointed to have ordered a 12oz burger, which came as two burgers on a dry cob, and she was disappointed in the taste, and said they seemed like frozen burgers not homemade! My only thing was that the mushrooms were garlic, which I didn't realise and I don't eat garlic! Otherwise very nice. Thank you

Less than welcoming greeting. No atmosphere considering it's a themed restaurant. Slow service with no apology for any reasoning why. Felt like eating in a canteen rather than a specialist restaurant. A massive disappointment after looking forward to the meal.
