The Soulville Steakhouse - Nottingham

I've always had good experiences at Soulville, it is a clean and pleasant restaurant the food is always excellent and the staff go out of their way to look after you. On this occasion one of our orders couldn't be exactly fulfilled so the staff offered an excellent alternative and extras to make up for any disappointment. They also made an effort to offer alternatives to what was on the menu to ensure that everyone had exactly what they wanted.

It was awful, when we walked through the door of the empty restaurant we found the chef asleep on the sofa!! We immediately walked out! Shocking!

Unfortunately one of our party is a Ceoliac and needed gluten free food and despite discussing this with the waitresses and her going away to discuss with the chef and choosing accordingly and then having a gluten free cheesecake for pudding. He was later ill thoroughout the night and ended up missing work the next day. Therefore we summise that something wasn't actually gluten free.

Good food, good service and good prices. a great relaxed atmosphere. We visited as a family and really enjoyed our meal. The service was very good and thought the meal was excellent value for money. We will be going back!

Perfect food - all cooked to exactly everyone's order. Really generous portions and absolutely worth every penny. Atmosphere is always welcoming as its small but not squished and everyone is having a good time.

We are very disappointed and angry that we made a booking to come to the restaurant today at 2pm (will be about the 6th time we have been). My husband booked online and stated we will be bringing a pushchair with us, because this is the first time we are bringing our newborn with us we thought best to ring and double check and make sure we get a table downstairs. The person on the phone told us it was fine to bring our pram. We turn up for our booking to get told we could only stay if we eat upstairs... This is impossible to carry a pram with a newborn in up those spiral staircase! We said we he asked for a downstairs table and unable to get upstairs to basically get told tough! Very disappointed that our first meal out together has been ruined and you weren't able to accommodate even after having tell you twice about bringing a pram... We won't be coming again now.

This was my second visit to The Soulville Steakhouse. And once again the food and service was excellent. I went with my daughter and we had the lunchtime menu 2courses with drinks came to £21:55 amazing value. Looking forward to my next visit.

Food excellent, atmostphere brilliant & staff marvellous. Excellent eveming out. Made our christmas meal fabulous. Would recommend this testaurant to everyone. Our vegetarian friend with us was most impressed with the choice of meals availajble to her. A must for everyone.

Food was delicious, highly recommend - however staff were not very attentive, waited half an hour just to get the bill! Last time we went we had much better service although i expect this was because they were busier and wanted us out quicker!

Food was amazing. Hot and cooked to perfection as always. Bar staff very slow but busy. Good vibe and music very good. Staff attentive and very good value for money there.

Service was very slow and staff were unhelpful considering we had a 2 year old child who was struggling. They had children crayons and books but refused to provide them. Whilst the food was good we would not go back there again. It was Christmas time but the place was far from full and service and attention should have been a lot better.

Good food , portions great music service ok. Could make more of the product eg the music. Each table named after artist with info on the artists

Had a lovely meal and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very enjoyable. Service could have been a little better, we were not offered drinks when seated at the table and it was difficult to attract attention to order. Otherwise a very enjoyable visit

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff ,would eat there again , I enjoyed the music, which was soul obviously ,good sized portions and pate I had for starter was delicious as was the key lime pie my husband ordered

Brill food and service music even better, food came out quick and was nice and hot. Children's menu was brill too lots of choice. X

Terrific a steak cooked to perfection ,not your pub rubber steak here. Will be back for sure ,it's the best steakhouse in Nottingham by a country mile

Lovely food, amazing presentation. They put happy birthday sprinkles on the table and carried out my cake after we had eaten. Worth the money, I will be returning!

It was the 1st time for me & I thought it was brilliant. The staff where fantastic the service was brill. I will definitely be comming again & would recommend it to everyone. Thanks it was great !

The best stake house in Nottingham! Yummy food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great music! Would recommend it to anyone. Never been disappointed. Always looking forward to have a meal in there.

Fab food, lovely background music. Perfect steaks. Not rushed at all. Got the 25% discount for eating 12-5 sunday. Sauces were out of this world.

The food and service is always good here and tonight was no different. We were a party of 4 and ordered 3 steaks - cooked to perfection - and a lasagne which by all accounts was lovely. Highly recommend.

An excellent meal, the ribs are the best ever, we left feeling very full, we'll be going back on a Sunday morning for the breakfast.

good food ,friendly staff and 25 % off on a sunday afternoon was a real bonus,would defo go again.Was abit cold sat in the window but we were moved straight away to a warmer table

Meal was lovely even tho there was far to much for us to eat. Was a bit too noisy for me, not from the music but from another group of people downstairs shouting. Service was ok but having to wait 14 minutes to have our drinks order taken after we had been seated was too long.

Lovely food. Good service and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The prices were reasonable but depends on what you order. We would definitely go back.

overall it was a great experience as always. The food was spot on and delivered when we needed it, we were not left waiting to long between courses. The waiter and waitresses were polite. The only down side i would say is they didn't seem to have our booking when we arrived and so therefore it took a while for us to be seated and we had to wait a long time at the end of the night for the bill.

Great relaxed atmosphere prompt service with a smile and the food was delicious Can't wait to revisit House rose actually tastes better than the Zinfandel which is rare in house wines And the lamb pie well it was the best pie I ever had.

Food ok, not as hot as normal. Service wasn't as good as normally. Hopefully just a blip. Will see what happens on our next visit.

We absolutely loved the place. Fantastic ambiance & very attentive staff. Definitely looking forward to returning the next time I'm in Nottingham. Cannot wait to show my boys this place
