A lovely Sunday roast. I'm usually suspicious of pub roasts but this one was lovely! Good service, great food and were showing the 6 nations....doesn't get any better.

Very good food, great atmosphere and super service. Comedy club co-located upstairs. Highly recommend having pre-show dinner downstairs. Good selection of beers on tap. 6/6

Sunday lunch was fantastic - beef was tender and veg was seasonal and perfectly presented! Great Yorkshire to conpliament; just what you would expect from a Sunday pub lunch. Service was fast but if you wanted to order/ request desert you had to always signal readiness rather than them preempting. Will definitely be back for more!

My girlfriend and I often come here for lunch or dinner and it is always good. Last night though it broke the mound and was actually quite poor. Over cooked steak, over cooked chicken, undercooked chips. We didn’t say anything at the time as the place wasn’t absolutely rammed busy and didn’t want to cause a fuss. Rest assured we will be back, but hopefully it will be as good as it has been in the past.

The staff were really friendly (if a bit over-eager). The food was just the right side of acceptable, although elements were stone cold while others were piping hot, suggesting maybe some poor timing in the kitchen. It also took almost an hour for our food to arrive as a result of one of our party ordering just a starter, but it was made clear that the mains should not be held up as a result. We had to chase up our food in order for it to be eventually brought to us.

Yummy dining & delicious quaffs, plus decent laughs upstairs of Thursdays (#AlwaysBeComedy). This is hidden treasure - just up the road from Lambeth County Court

Very friendly. Great food. Would certainly visit again. Real gem of a place in an area of a London not swamped with the price/quality ratio on offer here

The Tommyfield is part of the Three Cheers Pub Group and displays the usual high standards that we have come to expect from the establishments in this ownership. Here you will find ample portions of up market pub grub with a twist and friendly attentive service. Not the place to go for cheap eats but nevertheless good value for money. Highly recommended.

Delicious roasts, good and friendly service. The sticky toffee pudding was also great. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the Tommyfield. I hear their pies are excellent too.

I thought the food was mediocre, given the price and definition of gastropub, though this seemed to be my opinion only. It did lack a bit of atmosphere and was more boring than upscale and trendy.

Very nice place but as it's near to Xmas it was noisy. Our waiter made several mistakes but the food was tasty. It's probably unfair to review at this time. We will go again in the New Year and feedback more precisely then.

Service good, food average. Steak ordered medium rare but came at least medium. Mashed potato with pie was cold. Quite expensive for what it is.

Haven't eaten here for a while but it's usually my go-to local eatery as the food has been very good and the atmosphere warm (noisy). Rather disappointed last night - nothing major but the dishes were unremarkable to the point of being bland: the gravadlax starter, though sweet and melting, lacked any sharpness to give it a tang; roasted squash with tofu, giant couscous and salad greens looked amazing but again was disappointingly under-seasoned/under-dressed. My guests ate respectively the pork belly (usually a winner) and the venison pie (which arrived with a ring of blackened, burnt pastry around the edge) and both were deemed 'fine' with a half-hearted smile - damned with faint praise. Both of them felt the portion of accompanying mash was surprisingly mean. We skipped dessert. On the plus side the prices are (IMO) reasonable.

What a wonderful time we had, great food and atmosphere helped by very friendly staff, you would be a fool not to check out the comedy on a Thursday night, really good comedians and a few surprise big names who come back to where it started!

Nice pub, good food and good drink. A little bit pricey. The website advertises a happy hour which doesn't exist in reality. Staff were friendly and helpful, although one (on trial) was utterly clueless. I don't think he'll get a job.

I love The Tommyfield...great food, great ambiance. They consistently have fresh, delicious meat pies. The only complaint was that they burned the halloumi...but I still love the place.

A pleasant and relaxed dining experience on a Sunday afternoon. Food was tasty, and I would heartily recommend the Camembert and Terrine starter. A few small tweaks on presentation for the food would have lifted the overall experience.

Was more of a walkabout bar than a gastro pub. So raucous you had to shout your order at the bar staff. most tables were groups of lads drinking shouting and cheering. A huge flat screen TV in the centre of the bar gave it a very downmarket vibe. We arrived early and to their credit they kicked some drinkers off a table and laid it up for us. We sat there for 20 - 30 mins shouting at each other to be heard, not even given a menu to look at. So we left and went to a really nice Chinese restaurant just down the road. Don't get me wrong if I was out with the lads for a few to many beers and a gourmet bar snack I would consider this venue. But it's not for a night out with the wife. The staff all looked harried and stressed as if struggling to cope which I don't like as it makes feel as if I'm part of the problem.

Food was good, if a little cold and the service a little chaotic. they had been overwhelmed, by the overflow from the Cricket at the Oval. We will go back though
