The Waterside Bistro is in every way excellent. Lovely staff, great ambiance, fabulous meal. Only problem was we couldn’t fully enjoy the tasty wine because tomorrow is Monday!!

First time visit. What I enjoyed the most - welcoming and attentive staff - no time pressure to order or give up table, specials menu and food presentation, choice of attractive room settings, relaxed and dog friendly. It came highly recommended. I see why.

Lovely old building in a nice location by the river. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was delicious, some different choices of starters and mains as well as pub usuals. Not cheap but worth it for the quality of food.

Our group enjoyed the meal, food was good, service was attentive, pacing was just right for a lightly constrained timing. A little pricey perhaps, but you get what you pay for.

We are local to the area and love The Waterside. The setting is just beautiful and as always the service and food was fabulous. Fresh, hot and a great portion size. Many additional specials too.

We had a lovely afternoon. Food was excellent and the venue was warm and cosy. Only one small thing, after we had our meal we weren’t asked if we would like anything else - desserts, tea/coffee. I had to go to the bar to ask some time later and also had to ask for the bill. A little more attentive and the whole experience would have been excellent.

I have been to The Waterside Bistro many times before for lunch. I have always found the food, service and staff excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant to any of my friends. I look forward to going back again in the very near future.

We enjoyed the chicken & chorizo ballotine, the bone marrow burger and the dill herring with potato salad. The soup of the day was also delicious. Three of us dined and all enjoyed the food. No complaints.

Crispy pork belly was good but not crispy as it said on the menu.roast sirloin of beef on Sunday was tough and chewy and the gravy was far too salty.

Our party of 8 with a variety of tastes had a wonderful meal in the most pleasant atmosphere, cooked and served by the most efficient of cooks and table staff. Will certainly be back.

Not our first visit. The setting beside the river and the old bridge is amazing. Lovely to have a pre-dinner drink on the terrace. As always, the staff were very friendly, obliging and efficient. A good menu. Food presentation was excellent. We'll certainly return next time we are in the the area. Overall, a very pleasant meal.
