Our only dislike is that the surroundings lack any attempt at reducing sound levels - e.g., carpets, curtains. However, being over 80 this is our common experience with most restaurants today!. Doesn't reduce the good food level of course!
A good meal, but there seemed to be insufficient staff to cope with the early evening rush that should be expected prior to theatres opening.
Good location, friendly staff and gluten free menu which I liked. Food was lovely value for money. Prestige menu 2 or 3 coarse options available. Got seated earlier than our booked time.
Great atmosphere ! Lovely food , very efficient staff! Would recommended to friends & family . Very busy restaurant so booking a table is essential! We have eaten at Cote restaurants in many cities & have always enjoyed the friendly welcome!
The food was awful - ordered risotto that was half cooked (so essentially they fed us raw rice) and then the dessert was burnt. Really not worth the money. Especially as the service is slow. The only upside was how polite our waiter was.
I chose to try the gluten free menu and had the 2 course option: The chicken as main and creme caramel for dessert. Good value.
Met a friend for late breakfast. always excellent service and good food here.
Only one small piece of goats cheese on the goats cheese salad which was drenched in a highly seasoned sauce. Rather noisy, difficult to hear in a group. Most food very nice.
Good choice of dishes on the pre-theatre menu at a very reasonable price, served by lovely helpful staff member. I will be recommending to friends when visiting London.
It was very buzzy and busy but the staff were extremely attentive and food very good. We were not rushed at all but when we wanted the bill it came very quickly.
The length between the starter and main was over 20 mins and I had to ask where the mains were. I had to quickly drink my glass of wine as the show was starting at 7.30 I left the restaurant at 7.15
We had a delicious meal at Cote, Royal Festival Hall. The pre -theatre menu is very good value for money and has plenty of choice. The staff are friendly and very efficient.
Food and service was fine but air conditioning not working properly so too hot in the restaurant. Good to see new additions to the menu
Easy to book the location was perfect for our evening. The restaurant and staff went that extra bit to make it a very enjoyable evening. The food was excellent too.
Great breakfast as usual. Wonderful service and fabulous food all cooked to perfection.
Good French Bistro food with a wide selection of dishes, set menus for pre theatre etc. and monthly specials. Right on The Royal Festival Hall site. Chose September's whole Lemon Sole Meuniere which was delicious although chocolate mousse was a little sweet and lacking in chocolate density for my liking. House merlot good. Efficient service.
I usually love Cote Brasserie but this was a disappointing experience. I should have returned the Breton Chicken as it was dry like polystyrene - but when you are meeting someone for the first time it’s not appropriate to create a fuss! What a shame!
We had attentive service from our waiter & his manager who handled my wife’s allergies - great atmosphere & food, all for a reasonable charge.
We had a great evening - delicious food (we had the steak), friendly staff, great location! I’d have no problem recommending this restaurant to others.
We arrived early, our table wasn’t ready, we were offered complimentary drinks:) our waiter was attentive and our experience was positive. We had a lovely meal.
Fabulous place! Great food at an incredible price. very good service.
The service is always excellent at any Cote. The selection of food is extremely varied and is ery good value! The wine list is also very varied and good value!
Chicken was a little dry but otherwise a lovely meal and very filling! Nice atmosphere and great location. Mussels were delicious as was the wine
The restaurant was almost full to capacity at 18.00 but they found us a table and gave us excellent service under (for them) maximum pressure. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Not sure how their staff can remain so cheerful under such conditions - but they did!
Cote offers great food, service and value. I loved the mushroom with brioche starter and the main was tasty too. We really enjoyed the experience!
Excellent food, service and location and they cook the breakfast exactly as I request.
We were greeted in an extremely friendly manner, shown to an excellent table, and served perfectly. The food was delicious, well presented and at the correct temperature. A most enjoyable evening!
Very good meal. This was our first visit at Côte Brasserie - Royal Festival Hall. Nice food and friendly service. We had a nice offer which gave us complimentary gin and tonics when ordering a la carte. The only let down is that they made a mistake and added the complimentary gin and tonics to our bill. It took them quite a while to reissue the bill to get them deducted
Service was courteous, food was delicious as always for Cote. I made reservations on the day, and they had table available at my preferred time. Place was full so the food took a bit of more time to come.
The food was good, and the service quick and efficient. We gad booked a table for 10pm and unfortunately several things on the menu were unavailable.
Very buzzy atmosphere in the perfect location for the Festival Hall, the National Theatre and the surrounding area. Excellent cheerful service. Very clean and comfortable dining.
I like Cote, but I’ve had better experiences. The potatoes were under cooked as was the salmon. The restaurant was very hot too. They could have turned the AC up. Service was very good but the food let them down a little tonight.
Very good value service friendly and food excellent wine was well priced and delicious . We were four people had different mains all very tasty
Slow service , food just warm and tables down stairs had very little or no air conditioning. Will not visit this restaurant again. Not what we would have expected from the high standards usually delivered at a Cotes restaurant.
Set menu dishes could have had a little more quality about them. But overall a decent restaurant for a casual meal. Not exactly anything special.
Fantastic place. Lovely, attentive staff and it feels well run.
Great environment, great service and great food. Right next to Festival Hall.
Very good food. Our waiter didn't know I was able to order a 125ml glass of wine and had to go and ask his manager.
Very good chain of restaurants. Buzzy atmosphere. Great, fresh food. Tasty and good size portions. Friendly and efficient service. Reasonably priced. Can’t beat it. Would recommend.
Cote is always a winner! We have been living overseas & missed Cote. When we came back to London we made sure to dine there again & it was as good as ever. Great food & good service.
We are Cote fans and we enjoyed our meal. The set menu and Prestige menu were both well judged and tasty. We admire Cote for producing good cooking at such a good price.
Handy location for a group of people travelling from different parts of the UK. Does Gluten free food but you have to wait until the Manager is free before you can place your Gluten free order!
The four of us enjoyed our meal very much. We had three courses each from the al la Carte menu, the only let down was the steak (steak frites) which was very grey in colour, no brown caramelising from the hot grill. Apart from that the food was tasty, hot and well cooked. The service was a bit inattentive as we tried to catch the eye of the serving staff on at least three occasions but in the end one of us had to get up and go over to ask for things. The staff should be better trained in looking around to see if anyone is trying to ask for service etc. This was the only annoying thing about our visit.
Pleasant food , not huge portions , but sufficient Really friendly service Very helpful service too Not bad value for money also compared to similar establishments
We had good seats at the front of the restaurant and received excellent attentive service. The food was the usual quality you can expect from Cote, which is a chain I visit often.
Cote always delivers excellent food at reasonable prices in a nice environment, and it is my standby restaurant of choice. First time at new Royal Festival Hall today, which is as consistent good as ever.
Good, friendly service and excellent, good value food from premier menu. Will certainly make this our regular eating spot when visiting the National theatre or Festival hall.
As always the food was tasty and well presented. We have had better service but nothing to worry about. Excellent value in a busy location.
An excellent meal, staff very friendly and efficient. Our first time at this Cote, we shall definitely be returning. All in all a enjoyable evening.
Excellent service. Very good steak for my husband and excellent fish parmienter? for me. We went at a quiet time after the matinee theatre, but it soon filled up and the atmosphere was just right, buzzy but you could still hear your partner talk!! We have been here twice now and have consistently good food and service. Also a good spot to people watch
