We recently discovered the branch at the Southbank and we enjoyed our visit. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Definitely coming back.
The food was excellent - as always - cooked and presented to a high standard. The staff too were great: professional and courteous. We really felt welcome.
Good choice of food. Service fine. Restaurant was very busy and noisy. I ate a chicken salad. It was really substantial. Friend had sea food linguine and we shared a delicious chocolate mousse.
The food was good, I found the staff to be friendly and the restaurant was comfortable, if a little noisy. I would happily eat there again.
I just love this restaurant -I am coeliac and it’s amazing for gluten free options. They also treated us to kir royales because my sister and I were celebrating my engagement- highly recommend!!
Very good value for money, delicious meals. We love the brunch menu. Almost always able to get a table. Busy for lunch. Definitely will return.
The menu was reasonably varied and my wife's tuna was the winner. I had the fish lame tier which was not bad but the sauce was a bit to thin and lacked a bit of flavour.
Very good and quick service, enjoyed the food and wine and water and the cost reasonable. Staff attentive, venue clean especially the loos. Regular user of Cote.
We had a relaxed lunch served by an exceptional young waiter who dealt with all our demands with humour and great professionalism. Good food at a very reasonable price.
Enjoyed the prestige pre theatre menu. Lots of choices and very good value, good quality tasty food. Didn't feel rushed and the restaurant is in a very convenient location on the south bank
1. Wrong order arrived had to be taken back and wait for my meal to arrive while my friends was correct. she had to wait till mine arrived. 2. The bill did not include the complimentary G&T so we had to speak to someone to correct this also. Not the service I would expect from Cote. dissappointed
The service was very good and nothing was too much trouble for our waiter. The food was delicious and looked pretty on the plate. The noise levels were pretty high which was a downside as it was difficult to hear the person at the other side of the table ....good for off peak
Excellent value for money, good food well cooked and presented, nice ambiance, good service and enjoyable August offer for regulars. This is a great chain restaurant Feedback for the marketeers you offer me a free drink, I book a table, take your free drink, buy a two course meal for two, buy more drinks stay longer etc etc. I genuinely altered my booking to take advantage of the free drink and you benefited as a result in a restaurant that was t close to being full; so why not make more offers?
Very pleasant, good food and helpful staff both in looking after the time (pretheatre) and my umbrella left by mistake (until I returned to collect post theatre)
Very good staff. Polite and proficient. Good food, especially the tuna. Very impressed with the layout of this relatively new Cote. Will visit this Cote again.
Excellent location, just a few minutes from Waterloo station. Large varied menu... although we kept to the smaller 2 / 3 course set menu. Everyone was happy with the choices we made. Easily accommodated 8 of us. Friendly staff.
Waiter was great. Service good. It was incredibly noisy though - acoustics need some sorting out. We wanted to chat but it was hard work trying to talk over the noise. Food was ok - steak a little tough.
We had excellent service and delicious food as we have experienced in other branches of Cote. We were delighted that the food was hot as often in other restaurants it is not.
Efficient and most friendly service, backed by reasonable prices, good location and reliable menu. I use Cote a great deal - both here and at other branches.
Service was not great at all and food quality a let down (always love the pate!) compared to usual standard. I love cote so this was disappointing.
I have been three times now to Cotes Brasserie on the South Bank and I must say I have never been dis-appointed with the food or the service. You have a wide selection of different menus and I am impressed.
Excellent pre theatre dinner al fresco in the sunshine on the South Bank. Food was very good - the creme caramel as usual was superb - and the waiting staff very welcoming and efficient. A very pleasant experience.
A good meal - both food and service at the table - much enjoyed by all of a mixed age men's foursome (78, 35, 15, 13). Slow on the dessert when we had indicated the need to meet a time booked on the 'Eye', surely, with relatively few customers in the restaurant, crepes for 2, don't take 5 or more times longer than when my wife makes them.
We had a good table and the service was excellent. However, all the dishes we ordered were overloaded with garlic and we didn't really enjoy the food, which is a shame as we have eaten in Cotes many times before and it is usually very good. We had tickets for a show nearby and there would not have been time to ask for the meals to be prepared again.
Good - as always - was delicious. Service was ok. A bit slow at times and that was when it wasn't busy, which is a shame.
Food was good, service excellent! So why only 2 stars!! NO AIRCONDITIONING in 32C!! Apparently there has been a problem for several days....been repaired several times.......there are still fans available to buy in london and elsewhere! Half a dozen placed in the corners of the restaurant would have done the trick. I was only there for just over an hour, staff working in long sleeves and thick aprons were there for hours. LEGAL? Both, staff and customers deserved better.
One of my favourite restaurant always delivers good service good food
Having checked in advance that the restaurant was air-conditioned, when we arrived for lunch we found the aircon wasn't really coping. However, luckily there was a shady table outside with a little breeze so we were quite comfortably seated there with a complimentary glass of Kir. Staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful and we much enjoyed our meal from the Prestige menu.
Food is always normal great. My steak was well done and not medium but was still nice tasting. The wine was warm. I had to keep getting up to poor the wine as it was far from the table. The waiter should have been topping up our glasses.
Service was rather slow, but the restaurant was very full as there had been a graduation ceremony at the Festival Hall and lots of families were having a celebratory meal.
There were 9 of us and we generally had a lovely time. 5 out of 6 because those who ordered the vegetarian brunch did not receive their vegetarian sausages one of us noticed they were missing and asked where they were. Helpful and friendly staff. Good ambiance.
Food good, setting not so good... not one of their better sites... service poor. Have changed my plans to go there on a future occasion. Won’t go there again but will go to other branches because I like the food.
Lovely meal out and really helpful and funny waiter ! Never been to this Côte before I usually go to the one in Tunbridge Wells!
Nice food, pleasant service, reasonable price. I've been several times and standard consistent. Would be possible to have a quickish meal. Handy for National Theatre and South Bank.
Good location. Friendly service and nicely presented and enjoyable food which was good value. Pleasant surroundings for our family reunion, we will come again and recommend you to our friends.
Great food, ambiance and service for a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and very responsive. A lovely evening out and I will definitely go there again.
This place has great service, friendly staff, the food is classic French cuisine and is superb. They have a pre-theatre menu which is an absolute steal for the quality you get.
Very busy day due to a graduation ceremony at RFH. We had good service and food, and we had plenty of time to catch up with our friend from Australia. Would recommend it to our friends, also very convenient to Waterloo station.
As a coeliac and frequent diner at another Cote Brasserie ... I always felt assured of the food I ordered from the gluten free menu. Not this time - I had to question my main course before I ate it as the gluten free flag was not on my steak. And when I ordered a sorbet for desert it was served with a chocolate biscuit stuck in it. I requested a different scoop and was assured it had been replaced however when I had half eaten it I discovered traces of the biscuit which had been removed and the sorbet scoop upended thereby it was contaminated! The waiting staff were excellent tho and were all very well trained and knowledgeable in allergies and intolerances. Am fully aware how difficult it must be for chiefs and kitchen staff in the light of increasing food allergies but I’d rather be told ‘sorry no can do’ than risk eating contaminated food as I am extremely sensitive to gluten.
good service, good food and relaxed setting inside (nice contrast to the hustle & bustle outside); first time at a Cote Brasserie - would visit again
Great French style bistro next to Royal Festival Hall. Busy and friendly. Good value. Excellent for pre-concert supper or before going to the National Theatre.
Really enjoyed our visit - five ladies who only see each other once a year, coming from Surrey, Gloucester, Essex and Spain. Good food, good service, good value. Thanks!
Excellent in every respect. Friendly and efficient service, great setting and to top it off the food was fantastic. We tried a variety of starters , mains and deserts and enjoyed them all. Thanks for a great experience.
The chicken wasn’t cooked! I have always had a very good experience in other branches of Cote so I was quite surprised. It is a fairly new restaurant, so maybe it’s still got a few teething troubles. The manager however took the cost of 4 meals off the bill, along with some free drinks and a voucher. Well handled.
Complimentary spritz included on my booking not available. No Pampelle! Accepted replacement Kir. Asked for water after 20 minutes waiting. Never offered 2 course menu.
Very attentive staff and a good brunch menu. The tables could be a bit bigger, but apart from that I'm generally happy with a Côte, and this was even than average.
Good service and menu covered all our needs for a party of 6. Like a lot of restaurants trying to cope with the current hot weather the air conditioning was very poor and the internal seating far too hot to be enjoyable.
Great service. Amazing food and wine. The lunch and early evening menu represents excellent value for money. However on a warm evening, the Restaurant needs better air conditioning.
One criticism; we did not feel that the Brasserie was easy to find in the mass of 'eateries' at the RFH. However, once found we felt that the standard of both food and service compared favourably with the one other 'Cote' we know well at Hays Wharf.
Good food, not very friendly atmosphere managed to spill a glass of wine over the table through clumsiness by the inexperienced waiter, very noisy. Would not go to this branch again.
