Always enjoy the food at Cote - although the tables are a bit close together here so it tends to be a little noisy when its full.

We both chose off of the set menu which was full of great options! All of the food was cooked perfectly - the chocolate mousse was amazing! Southbank is right by work do it was perfect for an early dinner and drinks. I’ve booked in again already for a friend’s birthday!

Lovely vibe and staff were excellent, as usual with Cote, food was great- the only reason I didn't give a 6 is we were a table of 6 & we had 2 small round tables pushed together which was ok but not ideal (just a small point) Love the location too as very convenient for Waterloo 😀

Friendly and efficient service and very speedy. Ideal for pre-cinema dining. Food was tasty. Went with the classic Steak Frites and side salad. Always a winner.

We understand that the restaurant is popular and busy pre-theatre but having arrived at 6 our main course was served at 6.50 which meant I was panicking about getting to the theatre in time . The food we had was delicious and service friendly and polite but it would have been good to have had time for dessert or coffee!!

A Saturday evening at Cote will always be busy. Service was of course friendly, courteous and prompt with all dishes for the course arriving together.

Food was to the high standard expected of Cote, although the service didn't seem as slick as other branches I've been to. We waited some time for aperitifs we'd ordered and then it proved difficult to catch a waiter's eye to order food. This meant that we ended up rushing a bit towards the end, as we were attending a concert. Overall, though, a nice meal.

Service was excellent. Food was good. However, very noisy. We were sitting inside in the lower section and it was difficult to hear even the person sitting next to you. Terrible acoustics.

Very friendly and efficient service, great food. Good veggie choice, but you need to ask for the separate vegetarian menu! Excellent position on the Southbank, perfect for pre and post event dining.

Staff here are so lovely. Very friendly and a good balance of attentive vs respectful of your time & conversation. Seating in booths downstairs great for a small group (3-5), better than upstairs in my opinion as upstairs is louder with smaller tables

Very pleasant and personable staff. I mentioned that I was celebrating my birthday and was treated a complimentary dessert, accompanied with candle and a chorus of 'Happy Birthday' from the staff. Advisable to book, as it is a very busy, buzzing restaurant due to the location but service is nonetheless unhurried, giving you time to enjoy the excellent food at your own pace.

Great atmosphere, good choice of food at very reasonable prices. Staff all very helpful and friendly. All round great experience. Met up with some old work colleagues and were there for 4 hours, so didn’t rush you off the table like a lot of other places do.

Great location if going to the National Theatre. Food excellent, staff attitude excellent. Very busy vibe. Handy if coming up to town from Waterloo. We had the lunch menu very good value. We had two courses. The whitebait was excellent, my tarte provenchale was very tasty. Fish cakes good and Sea bass also great. Thoroughly recommend this place. We will be going back.

Love Cote Barbican so was excited that there was one now at Festival Hall, but SO disappointed. Very noisy, only 2 people serving, no fixed price lunch so finished up having 2 starters which was very unsatisfactory as unbalanced, sadly won’t go again as too many other local options.

Very good food and service. Only downside was that it was noisy, mostly from customers talking; probably unavoidable because of the nature of the site - basically a box with lots of hard surfaces.

Very friendly welcome and prompt service. Particularly useful as had to be out for a theatre visit. Had the pre-fixe early evening menu which had a great selection of dishes. Food very enjoyable and good portion sizes. Good number of wines available by the glass and found a good accompaniment easily. Room ambiance excellent for such a busy location. Friendly service continued throughout. Would not hesitate to return

The food was good and service excellent. The tables are squashed in and it's very noisy, so it can be hard to have a relaxing conversation. However, the extensive and tasty gluten free menu will keep me coming back!

We had a tight schedule for our meal. We had allowed an hour-and-a-half for it before a concert at the Royal Festimval Hall, but we were delayed in a train sitting outside Waterloo station for 20 minutes. We explained this to the waiter/manager. We then had to wait for nearly half-and-hour for the first course to arrive, and consequently had to rush eating our two courses. The waiter/manager generously offered to waive the cost, which we did not feel that we could accept (except as to a couple of glasses of prosecco and some olives), since we had eventually had the food, and it was up to Cote's usual high standard.
